'I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say.' [Flannery O' Connor]
Why this blog?
The simple answer...
Because I have things to say and my voice sounds better when it is written down.
The variety of chair styles in the above image represents the various walks and stages of life, cultures,
backgrounds and places we all come from but signifying that we can all sit around one table and
respectfully engage with one another; sharing conversations, burdens, joys and perspectives.
This is a personal blog...
The perspectives, thoughts and opinions are my own and informed from personal context, crises, conversations, concerns, characters (real or fictional) and Christian convictions.
I am not writing on behalf of any specific group or organisation (secular or Christian).
My intention is to pen my thinking with heart and integrity and for visitors to my site to
pause | read | engage; to think critically and have conversations where truth and grace have the final say.
Any guest articles and interviews are published with the permission of the authors and interviewees.

'Sometimes you read a book so special that you want to carry it around with you for months after you've finished just to stay near it.' [Markus Zusak]
'I'm going to go to my room and read for awhile, okay?
I'm fine. I really am fine: I just want to go read for a while.'
[John Green, The Fault in Our Stars]
'A book lying idle on a shelf is wasted ammunition.
Like money, books must be kept in constant circulation...
A book is not only a friend, it makes friends for you.
When you have possessed a book with mind and spirit, you are enriched.
But when you pass it on you are enriched threefold.'
'Perhaps there is some secret sort of homing instinct in books that brings them to their perfect readers. How delightful if that were true.'
[Mary Ann Shaffer, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society]
